Stråla Yoga Guide

You are probably wondering what Stråla is, aren't you? Stråla is a way of being, moving and healing, that helps you connect with how you feel, move how it feels good, and handle challenges with ease. Founded by Tara Stiles in 2008, this fun, laid-back yet energetic, dogma-free yoga practice, blends the principles of yoga and tai chai to activate your body’s Relaxation Response by moving gently while exploring where you are, rather than forcing to be somewhere else. Movement begins with your breath. Every inhale opens and creates space, every exhale relaxes and lets you move easily into the space you create. 

Stråla class types include STRONG (intense flow), RELAX (chill flow), ENERGIZE (invigorating flow), BASICS (awareness flow), GENTLE (restorative flow) and Stråla 45 (core flow). All Stråla classes move slowly and continuously, guided with deep breath and easygoing movement from your middle, without endpoints. No gimmicks; this is yoga that moves far beyond poses, helping you blow past your goals and expands your limits from the inside out; cracking you wide open. You’ll get strong, let stress go, and accomplish tremendous challenges with ease, while getting healthy and happy from the inside out!

My mission is to educate, equip and empower you with practical, science-based, well-researched resources to improve the quality of your life on your terms through the principles of Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition.  This holistic approach to health and wellness means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health and vibrancy as a whole. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health. I provide you with the best tools, guidance, action driven blueprints, and performance evaluation for this kind of journey; hands down. You’ll be fitting wellness into your life, in less than five minutes after starting.

You don’t have to fear judgment. I'm here to help you nourish your life in order for you to flourish!

I am not the food police. I will not tell you to eat less. (phew).  It is my role to be your guide and accountability buddy towards bringing you into greater vibrancy

This is not a diet! It’s healthy habits woven into your lifestyle. Think of it like shopping for cool new clothes. These pieces are added to your already existing wardrobe; any of your old items that don't fit anymore you eventual ditch. 

I don't do quick-fixes. Why? Because they don't work over the long haul. If you want quick, then you don't want long-term, sustainable and if that's the case, I'll be straight with you and say I'm not the one for you. 

My method works, and I know if we work together, you’ll be thrilled with the results.
