PB & J Smoothie Recipe
IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!
Seriously, Peanut Butter & Jelly is the greatest invention of all time and it’s even better as a smoothie! This is a yummy, power-packed way to replenish the body after a good workout. We are talking about bone-building magnesium, muscle-friendly potassium, immunity-boosting vitamin B6, vitamin C for the growth and repair of tissues, powerful antioxidant vitamin E, plus fiber, protein, Omega-3s and various micronutrients. This is my go to smoothie post-run or after a strong yoga flow.
1 cup milk (I prefer almond, but add any kind you prefer: cow’s, soy, cashew etc)
1/4 cup rolled oats (raw)
1/2 cup frozen strawberries (fresh OR frozen)
1 banana (fresh OR frozen)
1 TBSP peanut butter (almond or sunflower seed butter ok too!)
1 TSP chia seeds
1 TSP ground flaxseed
2-3 ice cubes, depending on how thick you like your smoothies
Blend and enjoy!
